Week Two- Patriots vs Jets, September 23rd, 2001. 12 days after 9/11. New England was just two games into Drew Bledsoe’s 10 year contract when Jets linebacker Mo Lewis hit and injured Bledsoe.
“Bledsoe suffered internal bleeding in his chest cavity Sunday on what he described as a clean hit from New York Jets linebacker Mo Lewis. According to Bledsoe, the hit apparently caused the rib cage to partially tear and something clipped an artery. ‘The chest cavity filled up with blood slowly and got worse,’ Bledsoe said. ‘The lung never collapsed. Week Three- Patriots vs Colts, September 30th, 2001.
Tom Brady’s first start is against the then gold standard quarterback pretty boy, Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts. Oh yeah lube me up in Lucas Oil because you know they think they slick. It was a shellacking of the Colts 44-13. Brady was ass, 13/23 for 168 yards and no tuddies. Rode the defense off 3 Manning interceptions. Sounds like Mahomes haters in 2024. ‘Tis all cyclical. Either way, Brady was here to stay.
2005- Robert Kraft, owner of the New England Patriots, visits Russia with Chief Executive of Citigroup, Sandy Weill. Kraft soon has his Super Bowl ring stolen by Russian president, Vladimir Putin.
"I took out the ring and showed it to [Putin], and he put it on and he goes, 'I can kill someone with this ring,'" Kraft said in 2013. "I put my hand out and he put it in his pocket, and three KGB guys got around him and walked out."
Despite the fact that Putin walked off with the ring, Kraft still wanted the $25,000 piece of jewelry returned. However, he ended up giving up on his quest to get the ring back when White House called and told Kraft that starting World War III over a Super Bowl ring probably wouldn't be the best idea.
"It would really be in the best interest of US-Soviet relations if you meant to give the ring as a present," Kraft said he was told on the White House call in 2005. "I really didn't [want to]. I had an emotional tie to the ring, it has my name on it. I don't want to see it on eBay. There was a pause on the other end of the line, and the voice repeated, 'It would really be in the best interest if you meant to give the ring as a present.'"

-2019: Kraft was charged with first-degree solicitation of a prostitute after being caught during a human-trafficking sting operation while visiting Orchards of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, FL. Video evidence of the events were collected by authorities but the tapes were ruled a violation of Kraft’s constitutional rights and ordered to be destroyed. Florida judges, Leonard Hanser and Joseph Marx, and Palm Beach State Attorney, Dave Aronberg, where are they now?

Sportswashed II: Did Colin Kaepernick’s 2016 public protest of America’s history of racial injustice provide a catalyst to help boost Trump’s popularity leading up to the election? The media chose to pander to “disrespect” of the flag (feigned symbolism) rather than the issues being raised.
